Outdoor PA Sound, Bristol

Igoe PA hire provides PA system and other sound equipment for an outdoor event at the Clifton College sports fields in Bristol.

Diary 06/10/07

This was one of the more bizzare jobs we have undertaken. The sound system was to be used to amplify Carol Vauderman (Countdown etc.) & Chris Vasher (Points west) who where leading over400 kids and parents in an attempt to smash the world record for the most amount of people singing heads, shoulders, knees & toes !

The sound system comprised 4 x 450 Watt full range cabs & 2 x 600 Watt full range cabs driven with 2 x CS4000 amps giving a total power outage of 4.3 kW.

We also provided Shure PGX radio mics & stands; an Allen & Heath mixer with outboard & a Pioneer CDJ1000 to play backing music.

The world record which was previously held by Spain required more than 255 people to sing Heads, shoulders, knees & toes in unison for at least 5 minutes. TV personality Carol Vorderman who’s children attend the college was leading the pack with Chris Vasher and others.

Marshals confirmed that 480 ! people where in attendance smashing the previous record set by Spain. Footage and paperwork has been sent to Guiness World Records to formally apply for record status.

We look forward to more unusual work from Clifton College.
